Depends, if you have fesh water circulating around constantly you can go pretty small and it makes the fish easier to catch about 15 litres maybe.
If you use an aerator you have to go a bit bigger say 40 litres or so.
Also depends on the bait, some last longer than others.
Mine is about 25 litres and I have a pump hooked up as well as a spike that picks up water while you are planing along. If I am sitting in still for a while and I notice the bait fish swimming a bit funny (upside down) I turn on the pump for a while and revive them.
Mate you say fish, r u talking about actual fish of bait? If it is fish EG bass don't make the mistake of going too small. If one day you may fish in a comp you must have a min of 60lt. But of cause if it is bait the answer from Sea hunt is spot on. Cheers Kevin-
