    diversity

I JUST WROTE A HUGE THRED ABOUT MY WEEKEND THEN THE STUPID COMPUTER DELETED IT GRRRRRRRRR. i fished friday arvo, donut.
sat i fished with stack and his son and my mate peter. i got a small queenfish, 1 27cm to the fork bream and 2 small flattys. stack lost a monster fish that he had on for a wile. bummer stack it was a good fish mate. and to make it worse we seen a big bone fish lurking around half an hour after he lost it so thats what we think it was, that or a nice golden trev by how the fight went. my mate peter got a 28cm jack late in the day on a tiamco red pepper, it hit him 4 times befor it hooked up, i got a small clip of him barking on my new phone, i hope it works for ya's.
sunday. i was keen to target more trevs and flattys so i hit kawana first thing in the morn. i got there and gess what no stinken trevs and i resisted all erges to fish for bream. i seen something floating off a pilong in the water that looked like a flote but as i got close it was a lure so i swam out and got it, score. i dont no what it is but its a surface stick bait much like a cross between a towadi and a zipen ziggie and a rover all in one and it had some realy bent up trebbles so id say some one had lost it to a verry good fish. back to the story.
i worked over all my trevs spots in kawana with no luck so i moved to point cartright and still no luck. i then hit mooloola bar and only got 1 baby flatty. i then hit the cod hole in maroochy and still no luck. i then hit maroochy cannals and once again no luck but i did not hit one jetty for bream as i was deturmin to get somthing other than a bream. it was getting late so i hit the spot where stack droped his monster and i gave that place a good going over too with all the stuff that has been working for me there and still no luck. i then had a nother look in my tackle bag for something to try and i found that lure that i found in the morn. i put some new trebbles on and away i went. 5 mins later the the lure is slamed off surface and my real starts singing. after a awsome fight i see colour, its a small mac i thort but no it was a watson leaping bonito and boy do them little fellers go hard. it was awsome. the next cast walk walk walk BANG ZZZZZ YEEHAA a nice 52cm tailor smashes my new favoret lure, i get a pic on my phone and send him back. next cast walk walk walk BANG jump hay hay its a nother small queenfish. then the sun was gorn and the bite stoped after i drop 1 more small queenfish.
i hit it again today for a hour befor work and i droped a stonker tailor and a nother rat queenfish on the new lucky lure.

good stuff nug. We used to get stacks of those watsons at M'ba about 10-12 years ago ( i used to have a junior australian record for one on 1kg, dunno if it stands any more though). I havent seen them around for years and years. Good to see them around again. I might have to go for a flick for old times sake one arvo. Let me know via pm if ya heading there again some time.

    Cheers.

Nice fish nugg, good to see you and the razor are friends again too! Now we can add fish catching lures to the money and wallets you've found while out and about. Good to see perseverance rewarded.

nice spread of different fish nuggs, hopefully i can put you on to a few different fish on the weekend , not much chance of queenies or GTs but there are snapper and threadies and you carnt forget the stinking bream lol . Nice lure looks like it works well , i found a rapala (like a jackel) down the pine on saturday in the top of a tree so i got it down with my lure retreiver .
