    Garry,

Owen's suggestion is a beauty and a top blank. My own personal preferrence is from the GUSA or Hastings line. The GUSA 55M is 5'6", fast action and 6kg. The United UR56H and UR56XH are both 5'6" and 6kg to 8kg respectively. To be honest, personally, I prefer somehing in the 6'6" range for my snapper in SA. The added length just gives that more control and opens a heap more options for blanks such as the B65XH (absolutely perfect rod for snapper) and the 664 and 665 series. These are nice and tippy but have all the grunt you would ever need and they are light. My favorite blanks. Cntact Peter Williams at GCCR Tackle.

i use the NV7 for my NativeCast 601HXF rods...its a killer blank..but IMO bit on the overkill side for snapp's

the 664 Hastings would be my choice as well or step up the B65XH as Mark suggested...you could knock over a whale with that thing !
