I've been posting under my hubby's name (blackjack) since he joined in June 2008. I am now a new member under my own name, because I am as hooked as he is with the forum. Generally I have had more time to ask the questions etc.
So unless Blackjack (my hubby) and I get confused about who is logged in and post under each other's names, it will be easier for us to find our own postings. Cheers.

Thanks for the welcome in my own right.
The trailer upspec is fantastic because we know it is beyond what is "required legally". We haven't put the trailer in the water as yet because Jacko will do the preparation as you suggested before the dunking.
We have been doing really boring stuff, like packing our house up for the move north, because some things just have to come first.
Jack will get back to you. We are getting there.

Haven't done any as yet. Blackjack and I have only just got our boat sorted and he has been making enquiries on here as to the type of gear we need to buy.

I know he is really keen to try out plastics. I'm skeptical because I haven't used them or read as much as he has. By the look of the posts on here, it should only take my first few fish to have me converted.

As for me being the better fisher really, well I am just lucky. It's him who knows the stuff. It's me who seems to throw the line into the right spot! Not fair. I know a lot of blokes on here seem to have a similar problem with their wives/girls.

What can a poor man do? Join the SNAG club. Sorry. Pardon the pun. It was just too irresistible.

Good for you Missus, Just have to learn to launch the boat by yourself, and you can leave all the housework to the old man, while you're out fishing with plastics, can't have those lovely little fingers getting all messy with fish bait now, can we.

Thanks for the ideas Jimbo99. Don't think the old boy appreciated the idea of being a SNAG much. I'm not gonna show him your ideas!!!

Anyway, to make it up to him for suggesting I catch more fish than he does, I did what most wives do when they want to show how much they care ......went out and bought a case of Cascade Premium and the makings of a Blackjenny Roast Lamb dinner for tonight. Bottle of red...he'll be sweet...... should save me from haviing to "walk the plank".

A snag is something you eat at a b-b-q. Jen, I'm a sensitive new age guy, an old one though , and just to prove it I've washed up three times this week and cooked once. how far does a bloke have to go?? I cooked a lovely curried chicken and ham in thick sause, served on a bed of steamed long grain rice, and washed it down with a well matured coke or two. (Burp) sorry.
roast lamb sounds good, might try that next time, with a real mint sauce, potatoes in their jacket, sweet corn on the cob, etc.
