definitly not at low tide mate, i struggled through there at 1m low in a 14 foot punt 2 weeks ago. way too shallow. high tide unless huge is dodgy unless you know where the new channels have formed.

I reckon you could use it on a half tide but you would need to know where the channel is .the Herbert river is deep enough it is only a problem at the mouth. but the ramp is only a dirt ramp so you might have some trouble on the ramp itself the one at Lucinda is great but watch out for the drop off on a low tide .

Hey there ped as the boys have said the herbet a bit dodge if you don't know it & lucinda is only 5mins away, the other thing when you do leave lucinda to fish offshore make sure once you leave the ramp and get to the last bouy at dungenes head back towards the small jetty and go along the face of it until u get near the main jetty a follow it out to sea this well get you around the sandbars. I learnt the hardway actully my mate felt it more then myself. And if you have anyother other ? about halifax call Tony at Tony's basic tackle in Halifax his a top bloke
