Most of our members are QLD and Nth NSW based. Fishnet used to cover your area pretty well

the die hard fishermen have been getting them all winter mostly oiver towards the geelong side of the bay with catches of 4-5 common a night with fish up to 9kgs caught. alot of smaller snapper to 2-3kg on the east side of the bay near black rock in close in about 5m of water. Westernport has been the pick lately we have pick up quite a few new season snapper whilst fishing for gummies and jewies not the big ones yet but still up to 5ks. hope this helped its near impossible to find another victorian on here!!!

Just look in Queensland. I am here now and love it in the sunshine state. Just sorry I cannot give a fishing report from my home state.

Horse thats a rather counter productive comment to post. I agree this site is dominated by Northerners, but there are a few of us Vics on here more than willing to offer there advise.
As for the run of snapper into the bay yet i think were still a few weeks off. A few reports have come in with people claiming that the run has begun, but i think the fish there catching are resident fish.
