    Hervey Bay report

Hi it has been awile since i have put up a report have a bit of spare time now so here goes

Saturday i took a mate out for a fish wanted to try a spot so off we went we stopped at the arti for a few quick drifts where i caught a little silver trev about 50cm.
It was a bit ruff so we decided to get out there before the wind really picked up about half hour later we got the the spot and the sounder was just black with bait but nothing bigger there we fished it for awile getting small squire and bits and pieces on plastics then just before we where leaving i hooked up to a nice little blue on my new fream kix running 8lb which took awile to land
After that the wind was bad and the chop and swell was picking up so we decided to head back.

Sunday was the fishntales bream comp between a few of the fellas headed of to a spot where every trip i have caught atleast one bream over 35cm untill now so we gave up quite early hearing that the other fellas havent got any either except one boat so we fished the shellow reef where we pulled 6 squire for a feed and two small golden trevs about 50cm.

    here are a few pics

    cheers BK

na mate not much surface action around the bay latly the tuna was caught wide of the island near 6 mile

yer you can still fish the "gap" which i presume is the rip ?
can fish the whole of the picnics (little woody side) and the gap and river heads side of the bottom island is green (im quite sure)
Im glad the HRF is still going hard that reel can take everything you will throw at it unless you head wide

    cheers BK
