    New Test

Hey guys, it was my birthday yesterday and it wasn't a very good one . The bad thing was I twisted me knee badly and had to get cruches etc. But it was also a brilliant birthday with all the presents. I got a new rod (spinning outfit for bream) a wilson graphite 7foot really 2-4kg rod matched with a 2500 daiwa exceller with 4lb fireline braid (crystal) and many more!!! I am going to Shornecliffe for a fish tomorrow as we didn't go to Noosa. Bloody knee . I hope I will start this new outfit with a nice bream . Anyway I will post a report tomorrow.

Also where are some good spots near the jetty there (the big one).

    Cheers Tom!

Mate if you are going to hit shorncliffe do your self a favour and do a bit of wading in between the two jetties. Stick close to the two jetties. I have picked up some pretty big flatties in there. Also, good time of year to do some eyeballing at low tide, as you will see all the structure that most people miss. The water is usually pretty clear, and you will find those rocks about half way to the shelter shed on the southerm side of the pier!!

Ah yes. It brings back memories of when I was in my twenties and a fit footy player. I was having a friendly game with the kids next door when I was running with the ball and encountered some uneven ground whilst trying to make a pass. The result was a twist and snap. X-rays revealed nothing but I knew something was wrong and ended up seeing a specialist who did a "soft tissue" x-ray which showed I snapped my ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament). Have had 4 total knee reconstructions since and the knee has never been the same since. I hope you have not done the same damage as I did as I would not wish that on anyone. Make sure you get a referral to see a specialist however because it is best to have it checked out thoroughly. What seemed like a simple twist in my case turned into something more severe. If you have it checked out at least you will know either way. Now that I have said my knee bit I'd like to pass on a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you. It's great when the present is a quality bit of fishing gear like that you lucky dog. Well done and good luck with christening it.

    Tight lines,

    Poodroo

He who aims at nothing is sure to hit it.
