Annual Fraser trip

I'm off to one of the houses at Orchid Beach next Saturday for a two week stay with a group of mates. Any info on beach conditions (Hook Pt) would be appreciated. Much weed or tailor about? Also heard Donny has a licence to sell beer off the tap at the shop. If true, might have to take some extra loose change.

Hook PT---Check with barge operators..Inland road in pretty good condition if required. Good beach all way to Indian(Tuesday pm). Soft dry sand at Indian and Champagne pools..can be a little dodgey.Also thru to Orchid.
Tailor patchy along Eastern beach...Some good gutters around Dundubura and good catches. Tailor above Waddy to Cape but patchy,not sure whether you can get past NGkala ...lost alot of sand up that way. morning and arvo the best. Good summer whiting in gutters. NO WEED!
