Extremely quiet, spacious and the makings of a good fishing and crabbing spot if the pro's weren't there pulling out as much as they possible can.
It was our first of many trips to Notch Point and four days is definitely not enough. The next trip will be for at least a week.
Be warned there is absolutely nothing amentities wise (toilet, shower,water etc...)
In all we took ten pots loaded up with chicken frames for one small buck (given to the parents). The pro's from all account got around 30 good bucks for the weekend.
For me and the family it was mainly about seeking out a new spot for many return visits.
For those going there for the first time I would be trying to get a high tide early in the morning so it gives you the option of beach launching your vessel early to take advantage of the calm weather and troll for mackeral or bottom bounce just outside the headland. The area is heavily affected by tide and retreiving your boat at the top and bottom of the tide is difficult due to soft structure under neath. I got bogged yesterday at the top of the tide because I couldn't get a big enough run up. Low four wasn't enough either. I ended up backing up into the water to allow the mighty Patrol enough momentum to get us up the ramp.
Definitely a place for everyone to enjoy.
