Not that I am aware of.. I haven't seen or heard of any caught. I can check with MASA boss, but I would doubt it.

FF, Ive got a couple of bass out of Mondy on the barra gear as by catch, both on classics, poor buggers were a bit undergunned on the 50, but put up a fair tussle.
I think there was an ABT round up there targetting bass, all I can recall is Matty Mott getting crunched in the sticks useing a spinnerbait

Chris, Steez should be Ok for the trip. I would have thought you would have more outfits that that!!!.....I spose quality is better than qantity.
3 covers me fairly well ....... but I'm at a bit of a cross road atm trying to decide what else I really need & want
I've got a Certate 3000 ..... just undecided what to match it with ( I have an idea ...... I'll check ROOs out )

I'd like another medium / heavy baitcast rod ........ but I'll wait till I've done a few more days at Mondy to see where the holes are in my kit ............ My mind has changed from 12 months ago

yea mate, benn wanting to try for a while, but always seem to run out of time.My plan is to ditch roo n kim early one morning and head up and do some of the points on the way into bird,We trolled a few smallish ones up while switching spots this time last year so ill give them a go.i cant see the point in chasing em on fly in the sticks as id be no show of landing them.i might give it a go up near the pigpen as it opens up a bit there...maybe...ill have rod converted to fly by the end of the week...

little difference between need and want mate, if you want it you obviously need it

Re: BEN HUR : MONDURAN (Mondy Muster) & AWOONGA in September

useing the fly on the points might be worth a shot chewy, Ive got a few spots that spring to mind straight off the mark, but none that would be as much fun as waveing the wand in the tight stuff up the back

Nagg, If your travelling this route then you will find the cheapest fuel at the shell at Boggabilla (10k's south of goondi.) you will get diesel for around 10 to 20c a litre less than anywhere in NSW and 3 to 10c less than anywhere in QLD you will travel through. im pretty sure its still open 24hrs and if you have a coles docket you will save anothe 4-6c a litre. if the shell is closed then the big BP or caltex at goondi are a few cents dearer (still the next cheapest and open 24hrs)
Also keep an eye out for roos between Moree and Dalby in the early morning- we have had a good drop of rain today so they will be feeding on the side of the road over the next few weeks.
