I will look into it. I haven't been there personally, but it would be the perfect setup from all accounts. I am trying to work out who to contact.

I had a chance to chat to the lovely standin caretaker Lisa today as I was out there bludging on the job as usual. She was happy with all our behavior and had no complaints especially since the size of the crowd. I actually appologises incase there was complaints etc, but she said everything was fine.

I still think we need to move anyway, just to prevent in future and to respect everyone involved.

I agree, that in large numbers perhaps that location (no.13) is probably not the best with a large crowd. But didnt someone get in trouble for having their Genny going in the Genny section as well? Maybe SDA is the go then.

Oh and if ya book and pay for a power site do ya really need to camp in it or can ya camp anywhere just use it as a charging station????

Been thinking about that Nath. What would be wrong with having a bank of power supplies installed along the edge of the road near the genny section where you could park both boat & trailer and plug into them. Plenty of room. They could even run a second row of cars & trailers on the other side. Users pay extra for a key to the power boxes and get a sticker to put on their boat to show they have paid for certain dates.

We have to much to do and can't really fit it in the budget. It's short term pain for long term gain for us at the moment. It'll be worth it in 6 months time!!

I would like to think it is as it was originally intended (in my view anyway) a few like minded people fishing and a few quite ones around the fire in the evening. Nothing formal, no big deal.

As always if there is a big assembly, getting rowdy I will retire to my camp away from the mob.

Given the publicity this gathering has had it got big because it was a good thing, then there was some negative nonsense from people who had little or nothing to do with it.

Either way I go where and when I want to. I try not to intefere with anyone else and expect the same from others.

There is no reason this can not be a friendly gathering of like minded people if common sense and respect prevail.

You are 100%- right on the money .
I would be confident to say that 95% of people that attended these gatherings enjoyed themselves & hence why we have so many turn up.
Unfortunately the success is part of the problem....... too many in a small public location. Mind you , in reality any complaint has been few & far between . (Regardless of what a few outsiders have said or implied).

For me , the second weekend of September @ Mondy remains penciled in

It's a shame, we have meet some great people through the gatherings, now others may not get that chance. The minority spoil for majority.

I wouldn't worry too much about what others think ...... specially when you know what these gatherings are all about...... Lots of friendships have been made & plenty of good info has been shared - first barra , PB's, donut breakers etc
