All vipers are imitations mate, they imitate a lure that will catch a fish, they just do it poorly.

Picked up another one today, straight out of the box with the toy hardware, it floats. Change the splits and trebles to owners and it sinks like a stone, change to halco fish rings and 6XX VMC, and it slowly sinks, Im getting closer!

Justice was had in the end mate, he hooked up to a horse on that same bloody viper, it smoked him in the timber and busted off, then free jumped a couple of times showing us its new piercing, all the time that viper was rattlin away like crazy, funniest thing I ever seen.

Got down to front and rear #2 ST66, and still had the sinking issue, the VMC hooks have slowed it down a little. Yeah, lost the tow point split first up, not needed with the eye point on the Rapalas.

Gee you are unlucky Brian ..... i've done 7 recently & sometimes add lead under the bib or a little near the tail .

Do you drop it into a bucket of water head first ?

PS .... slow sinking in household water usually equates to suspending (near to it) in impoundment water

Its just that i'm going through on my own too ....... but on thursday.
It doesn't make sense you bringing your boat etc for just a couple of days ......... Even if you drive ...... you can fish with me & use my tent - -- If you wanted to ( just bring ear plugs )

so i gather whitey aint gunna make it so i will be there friday bu the only thing is if my back isnt right at the momkent pretty sore to be honest so i dont want to spoil ya saturday fish which there is a good chance could happen so i will bring the tinny if i dont use it it dont matter it will be the same as tony m last time ill just have to see how thge back goes it gave way last week and i couldnt walk for a while but slowley getting better but sore as still play it by ear chris im keen to have a fish with ya for sure i guess see how things go when i get up there . I still got to work this placcy thing out never got one on a placcy yet
