I thought i would do the right thing last trip at monduran, i snagged my lure in a million miles of tangle mono line on the bottom of the dam.... I managed to get my lure back and a loop of the line so i tied it to my boat and drove off and tore it all up off the bottom trying to do a fav for the environment.... I rolled it up into a ball and chucked it under my console and forgot about it.....
Got home and it was tangled around my chair.....the motor.....the trailer....across my yard.....out the gate....up the road.... what a mess lol....funny but better than on the floor of the dam.....

I was up at Spinnaker Sound ramp at Bribie a couple of weeks ago and watched a big 6 meter + platey on the trailer drive of with all the rods still in the rocket launcher, he forgot about the overhanging trees at the carpark entry, wonder what he thought when he got home and realized all his reels were spooled LMAO!
Yeah, I would have warned him, if the squeezer hadnt thugh it ok to park my little 4 meter tinny in cause he had a bigger rig, comes around goes around baby!

Yeah we will be in our normal spot near the fence I would imagine if we keep to the somerset style of things, the noise issues will be fine.... With that the kitchen will be there for presentations and breaky....

Will have to look into it but who ever gets there first through the week look out for the 44 gallon drum fire place or I can bring a few bessa block and make a secure fire place to allow for Nagg and camp oven on-slaughts

There are big truck rims around there now Nath one in Naggs camp of course and a big one at the end of the Kitchen near the track.

SB you missed it but the Mob demonstrated at Somerset that it is possible to have a good time without disturbing the rest of the camp site. I think the main factor was we didn't have amplified music just sat around spinning yarns.

So, everyone is camping and socialising in the same spot/s as last year

Good luck. I a sure Rob will be happy with that. It will be very noisy in the camp kitchen even if you trying not to be,..most will be off the water say 8pm...getting organised, feed drink..10pm + fire in the same general area???....good luck not uspetting anyone.

you had me worried for a bit there ..so many posts and plans, I couldnt work out what was the 'official' area!!!....that sounds good....now you have to work out how to get the 'official log to the official fire' coz it will burn baby!!

When I was there I suggested to Rob the late night fire would be away from the main area down by the Wall after dinner etc. He seemed to think that was a good idea .

so im guess ive been banished to the wall zone ok i will find a spot to set up my gazebo and table and stuff but if someone can then come over and setup the fire place down from me i can keep a eye on that i guess saturday nigth all cooking will be done at the fire darryl are you gunner setup over there as well that way we can have the generators close to gether for all power needs and im gunner try and build a 3 side box type thing to direct the generator more towards the camp kitchen area to block out the noise a little . Just to wet the whistle today off to the toy shop to look at some more bits and pieces i got my self a thick padded seat for my back so thats a bonus

Nip you know Barra Jacks has a big opening sale this weekend and Tackle World has meet it with a sale too so there are some bargains to be had. Nilsy ice jigs are not in yet but are in the country . They do have strike pro.
Ask Tackle World if he has ice jigs he might finally get the message and stock some.

i'm still thinking that the presentation should be held up near the dam wall .......... while the camp ovens are on the go .

Just bring your chair , cooking & eating stuff ( + Drinks) ....... that way we will not have to migrate - like what you did at somerset
As we will have lighting ..... via gennies all should be good

Hey fellas, I hope we are not to late but myself and Barraholic would like to take part in the fishing and festivity's Sorry about the late entries but i had to wait and see how my wife was travelling after the birth of our new baby Everything is just fine so the leave pass has been issued Anyway we will be arriving Friday morning and departing Sunday lunch.
