What I see on here is that we all share a common intrest yet in one Thread a couple of thousand posts in we have gone from strangers to mates to long time friends.... .

On a funny side in the threads on the muster, sessions and bash there has been ups and downs and we have gone from cracks, de knackering, babies being born sad losses wonderful food, fantasic fish, and a thousand laughs. There has been fun day comps a few mishaps the hard luck (mikooth) award, through this the birth of the three great get togethers over a year the Mondy Muster being the mother ship those who have not been to it come along and for those who have well you all know.

    Cheers Nath
    Really well said Nath

    & if I may add

As you said ...... a small group (but growing) that share a single passion ..... & respect for an iconic aussie fish.
From my perspective ..... a group that welcomes with open arms , free to offer advice & a willingness to share !
A good laugh to be had along with the odd tear
There is no wank factor / elitism ...... Friendships have been forged over long distances & from this we now bust a gut to get together collectively.
Its great to see ...... The Muster spawn other social / fishing gatherings ( BASH & SESSIONS) - afterall once a year was too long
For me ..... it would be a sadder place with out it !

    Cheers

Well you know if your misses and your dog are outside whining only one will stop when you let 'em in.

    Get home home late?

You know which one is pleased to see you and if there is a strange scent the dog just gets more excited not cranky, doesn't ask for explanations, and the whole matter is forgotten in a minute.

Fantastic Foxie!!! Having lunch with The Devo on thursday, what price can I tell him you've got for his nuts.

Well put Nath!! Summed it up well.

Brian, Deb and John, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. Take comfort that you were there with her to the end and could ease her suffering. We lost our family dog the week before christmas. Us kids got her for Dad's birthday 9 years ago and she was dad's mistress, a beautiful black lab Cinders. She was blind and almost deaf towards the end but still happy as ever, even though she was pretty much house bound. She wondered off one lunch time and couldn't find her way home. They search high and low, then Dad found her 3 days later drowned in the creek just down the road. Which is ironic, being a lab she loved the water and often used to duck down to the dam or creek for a swim. Those 3 days were the worst, the thought of her wondering until she died from starvation were horrible.(mum and dad live in the sticks) It was such a relief to find her and we're pretty sure she died with in an hour or 2 of going missing. The thing that hurts the most is that she died scared and alone. I still get teary when we drive up the track knowing she's not going to be there to meet us.
Ok that it, it's taken me 1/2 an hour and 1/2 a box of tissues to type this.
    Cheers Kim

Thanks for the thoughts Kim, i feel your pain too, it's not easy. It's now been five days for me and i still suffer when i get home and she's not there to greet me. Dogs are certainly very special animals, they become so close to you and give you their love unconditionally. When one goes it's a part of your family that you lose.

I've been thinking of changing my avatar but it reminds me of what a great weekend it was ever time I look at it.
I'll have to get a photo from the sessions and update it then.
