    Re: Camper Trailers

    Hi Greg,

I used to own one and only sold it because we decided that we really weren't using it enough and went back to a tent. It was one of their fairly early ones made in 2003. I also have some friends who have a more recent one and they love it. They are well made and have some really neat features. As good as any for the price I would say.

    Re: Camper Trailers

I bought one some 5 years ago I used it for 3 years taking the family to Longreach, Winton. Fraser Island, Moreton Isle and the North Coast of NSW, thoroughly reccommend it, depends on how much you want to spend, We bought ours which was a box trailer set up with a heavy duty canvas tent that folded out, we paid about $7000.00 brand spanker, company was a couple of young fellas having ago, I went to a camping show at Kawana Waters and had an opportunity to compare with others, IMHO I thought Customline Camper trailers were under priced, but if you have done your research you can pay anything from $6000 to $40000 for a camper trailer

    Re: Camper Trailers

    Gday Seahorse,
This is my camper trailer. It is a 2008 Outback Explorer. They are made to order. I have previously owned a 2nd hand one and towed it through tracks at landcruiser park for test and also to the Cooktown and back through the Bllomfield track and loved the way it handled everything. These trailers are built tough. It has batteries ,80l water with elec pump, led road lighting, fridge, provisions for hydraulic side lift boat racks. It has extra jerry can holders and is really set up for long trips away. I got caught in bad rain in the Daintree and it was dry unlike others in the camping site. Never the less it comes down to what you need and expect from one. I paid 20k for mine so it wasnt cheap but I know it will last me a long time without any trouble. Wayne at outback trailers makes them for all budgets, he is a genuine bloke who is hands on with the production. Worth a call and great bloke to meet.
    Marty
