All they had when I went with them was small mullet strips.
It would be great to take some live bait.
Stake out a spot on starboard side towards the cabin.
The skipper tended to favour the starboard side when setting up for drifts. Also take your own ice for your catch. Your catch is given to you in a garbage bag at the pontoon - no ice.
Being towards the cabin, you are close to where they lay out the food for lunch. Also less likely to catch any spray when crossing the bar.
Thanks for the tips Sea-Dog. I usually bring my own plastics and do quite well on them. And ur right about hanging on the starboard side near the cabin. I won't be forgeting the ice next time
