Joined up a while ago so i could see the pics.
Decided that I should make my first post.
Last easter i went to buy a new battery for our 435 coast runner and ended up buying a 529 seahorse with a 50 Honda.
Anyway i've just taken a week off work and headed down to Jacob's Well.
Got set up at the tourist park and thought i'd tidy the boat up.
I had the rods lying on the floor for transport.
Hopped in stepped down onto the floor and stepped on the handle of the over head reel.
I felt a bit of pain so sat down and had a look.
Bit of thick skin hanging off, no big deal.
Tear it off and have a look.
A 1 cm cut no big deal, pull it apart and have a look.
Hmmm that looks like fatty tissue .
Anyway across the road to the medical centre, explain my predicament and fill out the paperwork.
10 out of 10 to the Jacob's Well medical center.
Got seen to straight away ahead of all the appiontments ,wound cleaned, local, 2 stitches and a tetanus shot, and all bulk billed.
Worst part is they said don't get it wet .
Ended up driving up to BCF loganholme to get a set of waders.
I just thought the story was worth telling and would make a good first post.
Also before leaving home told the missus to remind me to grab the bait out of the downstair freezer....5minutes into the trip.......did you remember the bait....
Anyway I like to contribute to the local economy.
Cheers Mick.
