hello all
had a couple good seesions in the noosa river over the last few days.
first session i got a good hit then a massive run. we had to give chase in the tinny, thought i was onto a real good gt but when i eventually got it in saw that it was hooked towards the side of the fish. it went 52cm. also got a big eye that went 59cm which i was pretty stoked about. also caught a couple other smaller big eyes.
next session tried the same spot for trevally again and didnt get a touch for an hour and a half. moved and instantly started to get small hits, at first couldnt land any but eventually got a couple to the boat. they were tiny gt's and big eyes ranging from about 10 to 20 cm. i got another small hit set the hook, started to wind it in thinking it was another tiny trev but then it took off on a solid run. after a couple other smaller runs and some big head shakes a nice 65cm jewie come to the boat. so happy first jew.
all fish caught on plastics with 6lb braid and 14lb fluro carbon leader.
oh and the gt i caught had a couple red spots on it. does any one know wat it is and what u should do with any fish with these spots??
