nothing to do with fish...unless you put a seafood dip on them etc...
3 cups self raising flour
1 cup of lemonaide
300ml pure cream
mix to a dough. knead as little as possible.
make scones 2cm thick, 5cm in diameter.
put them in baking tray about 1cm apart.
pre heat oven to 220 deg.
bake for 20-25 mins.
fairdunkum, best, easiest recipe for scones in history. i recon it'd make a ripper damper aso.

Re: best scone recipe
I've tried this one before.....I don't really like scones because I think they're bland, but these turned out really nice. The lemonade works wonders.
geeeez I sound like my Mum....I'll have to go and work out on the heavy bag or go shoot a small animal to man up a bit !!!

Re: best scone recipe
Ok-- old fashioned scones
2 cups of flour or abit more
pinch salt
1 teaspoon ordinary white sugar
2tbls butter or thereabouts
milk to mix to a good dough
rub butter into flour and salt
add sugar then enough milk to mix to wet but not sticky dough
Knead on board and flatten out with hands,
use vegemite glass dipped in flour to cut them.
place in hot oven about 10-12 minutes.

Re: best scone recipe
Use olive oil, water and herbs and a pinch of salt and pepper and they make nice savoury scones to have with soup.
