    Furuno Transducer Parts

    Hi Folks
Trying to purchase the male & female 9 pin plugs for a dual frequency transducer hooked up to a Furuno LS6100 sounder. I need to extend the existing cables by only 150mm as one of the cables was installed by the original owner a fraction short causing strain on the plug & it eventually snapped off. Furuno inform me i cant buy just the plugs & need to purchase the entire transducer. Find this totally unreasonable for the sake of 2 plugs. Any thoughts as its a great sounder but will upgrade to a different brand rather than submit to this kind of service.

Looks like you can purchase spares from alternate suppliers:

    Quick search on Google revealed:

    Caveat Emptor..

    Hi ahhtheserenity
The transducer plug is a molded factory fit type. It does not exist as a part. The only ones that you can get do not have the molded back shell. The best way to extend the transducer lead is to find an old transducer and cut off the plug with some lead attached then join the leads. You can purshase a 5mtr transducer lead extension cable or ring some of the retail technical outlets like trymax and see if they have an old cut off one.
