just moved to biloela woud to know a bit about callide dam

been out to the dam a few times in the last week or so
only to catch some red claw
I know the barra had a big kill off
but any tips on maybe a barra
but i'm also keen on chasing someyellow belly as well
i would love any tips or info

try trolling or casting along the edge of the drop off on the left side of the dam as you go away from the dam wall, where the series of stumps are in the water. always pick up yellow belly there. mid diving hardbodies in spring. most barra are gone but has been restocked so there will be some smaller sized ones that will eat yellow belly sized lures. good luck scott.

Call into Creek 2 Coast B&T & chat to Norm. The store is on the Dawson Hwy on western side of town.

Also, IMHO you whould get involved with the local fish restocking group. They're a great bunch & the knowlege you can pick up from being involved will be invaluable.
