Garman Mapsource update
New release is out for those that don't know yet. seems to be a lot more details and better graphics. although depth numbers are very small to read now.
In fact on my screen most of the depth numbers are now gone.

Hi Razgo,
Are you talking about the Bluechart Pacific 2008 ? or is it called something else ?

Re: Garman Mapsource update
This was mentioned on a GPS Forum, may be the same issue that you describe about depths.

Maybe worth waiting until they sort out any glich.

Re: Garman Mapsource update
The update contains no more detail for the marine maps, several times slower, and as razgo has pointed out the depth has been minimised to increase performance.
Looks like they have changed the way in which the data is displayed, the graphic conversion or traslation is very ordinary.
Uninstall and reinstall for me.

Re: Garman Mapsource update
Hi, yes Blue CHart Pacific 2008 is what i was referring too.
Thanks for the link as i never knew about that site. It seems to be a really high res map but that just slows things down.
Ok seems best to unistall and then re install the old one.
Oh wait. I remember there was an update just prior to this one. So if i reinstall the orginal from CD tehn i can only update to this problamatic one? Arhg!
I think this is terrible that the depth numbers have been removed as i quite often sit there using this as a guide when mapping.
P.S
ok just noticed when looking at the "add remove" control panel in XP
1. Garmin Blue Chart Pacific
2. Garmin Mapsource
3. Garmin Nroute
4. Garmin Webudater
isnt garman mapsource and garman bluechart the same thing?

Does this 2008 update include the new greenzones for SEQ?
