Ok I'll get the ball rolling - I personally don't think (brown) trout fight that well and would generally prefer to see the original Murray Darling Basin natives than trout in most places - but having said that I have to admit that I enjoy targeting them (such frustrating fish!) and they taste pretty good when put through the smoker! - lived in Canberra 1999 - 2002 so that when I last had a chance to target them - these browns came from only 20 minutes out of town!

Here some browns from somewhere different - caught in the Kudu valley in northern India

A sea run trout I bagged last year in the Merri River, Warrnambool
I just put these pics up on the Freshwater reports page but I can't help myself and will show them off again. This is a Gerrard Rainbow Trout I caught in British Columbia in Canada. This species on Rainbow trout gow the biggest in the world. This fellow even got airborne during the fight.
Never had a measure or scales but safe to say he was bloody big
Here are a few of mine ...... Over the last couple of years ( NZ & Snowy mountains)

Yeah it was a pretty fish bandit...and that photo was taken an hour or so after it had been out of the water..you should have seen it when it was fresh out of the river. The Merri is full of fish like that, but they are very difficult to catch, very eaisly spooked and conditions need to be perfect. I got that one just before dawn on a Berkly 3" powerbait minnow.

Well done!
