beautiful fish . great to see a plan come through,Well done
Another 110 mm of rain fell on the Noosa River last week, making the river a shite brown colour and also very fresh again.
Trevally have been horribly slow, a few starting to appear here and there, and the flatties have been sporadic throughout the system. A few reports of school jew captures have been circulating a bit.
I thought with the fresh about and the tide not being too strong early in the morning, I'd chase a Jewie.
Good thinking 99..........after 20 minutes of tossing my soft plastic, it was monstered.
A light tap at first, then off it took. After a 5 minute battle I slid the net under a 79cm Jewie.
There were a few anxious moments with the net as the fish had the placcy right down his gob. The 20lb leader was chaffed but hung in there.
You beauty, my 2nd jewie in a fortnight.
Other than that, it was pretty quiet, but I wasn't complaining!
Cheers, Jeff.
beautiful fish . great to see a plan come through,Well done
Nicely done Jeff,
So you have the disease...'Jew Fever'....
They are a pretty hard fish not to chase hey..?.....Bugger the trevally when there are Jew around...
Pete
thats a corka! What plastic did the damge?
Well done great jew!
Cheers Simon
Top[ effort there Jeff. My biggest Jew came from the Noosa River many moons ago but it was bycatch chasing trevs. To catch one actually targeting them is very impressive

Thanks Chief, it was a pretty skinny fish, I think it was hungry, it devoured the plastic
Not quite Pete, no jew fever, I like the trevors too much!
Plastic was a 4" Power Minnow in pink lemonade colour.
Thanks Neil, I've targetted them plenty of times before and come up empty handed, so yeah it's a good feeling to land one when it's a target.
Gotta be lucky sometimes
Jeff
nice work jeff on the jewey's ah, some reason i never have luck with them
cheers tom
An excellent fish indeed. Congratulations. It's great when a bit of thought and planning comes into fruition when targeting certain fish. You were rewarded with a great catch there.
