It`s been a while since reports but I thought this was worth a mention, after spending a fruitless day in the bay wed getting saturated and belted with firstly a northerly then a westerly after seabreeze showed none or barely a breeze wednesday i headed for home but on arriving it glassed out and as the cook was calling I thought i`d sneak up nundah creek for a looksee for the last hour of my leave pass. caught two nice mullet in the cast net then went up past the bend that you can see the arterial but before the bridge and anchored near a nice snag for a bit of the run in, what went on next was a sensational show with baitfish getting belted everywhere and my first mullet got drilled by a little cod. next mullet was cut int fillets and first cast with the current watched as my line went slack so wound it in to see it catch up to the bait end which was upstream past my anchor? what the ! next i used pillies on the big setup( still rigged for the bay) with 13kg leader and off she went, a great fight with a bust of boatside by a good tailor then re rig and same again, the tailor were doin aerials and really going silly, then finally got one into the boat and it was past my deadline time to go , the one keeper will be kept for a trolling session on the next offshore trip , sorry to all you tailor eaters but i dont mind eating them but dinner was well under way and i didn`t bother bleeding him. a lot of ground was covered that day but was just great being out there even if i was freezing wet and hungry! He went 46cm and was a pretty solid fish for such a small creek, the two bite offs were around the same size. Cheers Andrew
