Boat with a mind of its own

Hi Guys, did you see the alum boat go crazy today after a wave swamped the occupants out, and made it very hard to be captured. It was at the Goldie somewhere and proved more than a match for Services to catch up with it. Bear in mind, it could have been real trouble had it went straight for the shore, instead just circled around at full revs.
Maybe, just maybe, Lanyards to the kill switch should be mandantry. Just a Thought!!

TV was all over that with yet another 'Rogue' wave story.

How come nobody ever gets dumped by an ordinary wave...or a 'peaky little wave' that jumped up when I wasn't looking?

I know its not funny but it did make me laugh and at least no one was hurt. would love to see the video again and any video shots of them trying to lassoo the motor as they said.

If I was the owner I'd be more upset that they allowed it run all the fuel out and cost me heaps of $$$!

Tigermullet is spot on with his comment about Rogue waves, no one ever has got into trouble from a "normal" wave, sort of like anything sold as heavy duty, I would like to see an add for the weak/light duty battery/rope/oil or whatever, kind of like an experienced person never gets into trouble, only inexperienced, but I don't know how many pro's have got into trouble, must be inexperienced pros?
