On the Move Again.....Dry Motor Storage..?

    Team,

I am on the move again - this time Darwin.

Boat will leave Gove within next 3 weeks and then be stored at a Darwin warehouse for around 10 weeks.

Important tips on dry storage of motor and hull?

New job, better money, etc.... (and hopefully better fish!)

Splash, get a spare portable tank, add 150/200ml oil to 5L and run the engine for 5min on the muffs. Then give all external rust able/rough/corroded bits a decent dose of lanolin spray, under the hood too, and store the engine in the down position. Disconnect battery...totally.

Good luck in your new adventure.

Splash no fish at gove?, or were they hideing from you.

Thats the 40 year old tach?, a new one would be the way to go could save money in the medium term. If out even 8% at the higher revs it can make proping correctly a right pain.

    cheers fnq
