I have now taken the plunge and bought the Lowrance X515C DF finder and the matching Global map 5300C. Now for the question.

The manual says that it will take either NauticPath or Navionics Charts. Is there any real differance between these 2 charts besideds the price?

I can purchase the Nauticpath for about $200 for the Australia wide map or the Navionics for almost double!!!

Is it really that much better?
