Hi,
Just wondering how many rods people take out on a trip and what species they target!!!!!!!!!!!
When i fish for bream and that i take 5 or 6 rods out!!!!!!!!! (4 for me and two for the other fella )
4 rods for me. 1 for floatlining - running 40lb mono, 1 for bottom bashing - 50lb braid, 1 for jigging- 50lb braid, and my S10 for offshore plastics - 30lb braid.
Cheers,
Wags
When snappering the shallow reefs i take 2 6lb braid setups and a 8lb setup as a rule. Sometimes i will take a 15lb braid setup as well if I am going to make a day out of it.
Jack.
Four for Trout 2 Trolling, 2 Bait
Three for Cod.
I generally take 3, a light, a medium and a heavier. Depends what I'm chasing and sometimes the weather. If the day is forecast to start good but blow up later, I might take stuff to fish the bay a bit with my lighter stuff to fish the creek later in the day.
On a Bay run I take between 3 & 5 to cover all bases fron 4kg up to 24kg

I only fish the estuary and generally take 3 threadlines and a baitcaster.
If I'm going to live bait, I'll take another 1 or 2 rods with me.
3 right now. 1 floater, 1 bottom basher, 1 plastics. When the water starts to warm up there will be outriggers and 4 trolling rods too, so that'll be SEVEN!!!
I don't have a jigging kit and I ain't getting one, unless someone develops a technique that doesn't involve me ripping my shoulder from it's socket...
Cheers,
Tim
Carbon Really Ain't Pollution.
These days .... my fishing is target specific - So its usually 4 -5 rods ( trout is usually 2 fly - 1 spin)
In the bad old days ..... my record was 12

When I am estuary fishing I take 2-3, 1 for bream and flathead, another for the sharks, another for live baiting (maybe)
