    Cooks Rock and Ningi

Got sick of looking at the water yesterday being so calm and flat so I got my boat and ducked out for a few hours. Got a late start at around 3pm to get in the water.

Went to Cooks Rock for no reults at all. Tried 2 or 3 places then at 5pm ducked back around to Ningi Creek area by 5:30pm ish.

Stayed there another 2 hours - a bit slow but 3 nice fish - 1 at 37cm, 1 at 38cm, 1 at 33cm -all nice fish - got busted off 3 times as well by some other big bream too. Great afternoon watching the sunset again and not a breathe of air blowing - beautiful night.

Again, I've seen boats at night heading back in with no lights - 2 long boats heading into Spinnaker at around 7:40ish, one with lights, one without. I slowed and waited for the first one to go through lead lights then I increase speed a little to get to the entrance myself - then just as I slowed and entered the entrance, another long boat (that I didn't see until last minute) speeds in front of me from the bridge side of the entrance in the dark and shines his hat light at me at the last minute - got to tell you - no lights from these folks they are looking for trouble. Anyway, got to ramp and no quickly had I even got my boat parked on the sand, they had both their boats out of the water, on the trailer, and left the area straight away.

Anyway, have a great weekend folks - Cheers,

    Darren.

    Nice size bream fishbait.

Its only a matter of time til there is a serious crash on the water in QLD, because some goose has no lights.

Long boats, no lights, confident enough to speed around in the dark, no mucking around at the ramp. Sounds like pro netters or crabbers to me, if so I hope they were not up to anything dodgy.

    G'Day Simon
If you have a Beacon to Beacon - look up Page 56 - then go to approx 27,05,700, and 153, 08, 200 - pretty hot and cold place - one time they can be on, next time there's rubbish there. It's about 6ft water, watch the sand bar on the S to SW side at low tide getting in there - you'll see in on the map anyway.
    Cheers folks
