Last minute Tailor advice
Hi there,
Where is the closest place north of Brisbane that I am likely to be able to catch some tailor tomorrow morning and how early should I be getting there? Is it Skirmish Pt at Bribie?
Thanks

Closest place is probably along the front of the Redcliffe peninsula from any of the rock structures from Woody Point to Scarborough. Dawn and dusk are the main times although you may catch the odd one during the day. Skirmisk Point is the south east corner of Bribie Island - quite a good tailor spot with a high tide falling on dawn, but the quality of the fish there is often very small. Lots of little dart there which can be a nuisance. It's also a good land-based mackerel spot through the summer

As Freeedom said Redcliffe foreshores is a good bet. There have also been a few in the Pine River recently from the hornibrook to the highway, same times apply.
