globalmap 2000 help

HI all. We have just purchased a 2000 model Seafarer Victory. The GPS/ sounder in the dash is a globalmap2000. Probelm is it has a seperate card reader located down below teh steerig wheel, that takes a rather large card (alot larger than a SD card or similar). We have tried our local Lowrance distributors and they have told us that CMap and Lowrance are now longer compatible, and they have never seen the card before, so cannot help. Anyone with any suggestions? We need a card for our local area, from say Agnes to Moreton

Hi Cranic

There is an adaptor for the 'card reader" into which smaller cards can be placed.

I think I have similar or maybe the same setup in my Vagabond.

Thanks Chimo but i still havent had any luck trying to locate the adaptor. tried everyone i can think off, but all leads turn into nothing. But thanks anyway

Hi Cranic,
The globalmap2000 used a C-Map in CF85 format. This format has not been manufactured for quite a few years now. I think I have some in the shed, will check the coverage areas and let you know.
