I know they are not the greatest eating fish, I reckon they go hard on the end of your line. This one went 62cm on a 1/4 TT and gulp craw from Myora.
Show us how big your mother inlaw is!

Carbon Really Ain't Pollution.
I got a new mad keen shirt that the kids got me for Xmas a couple of years back. It says don't exceed the bag limit, leave the mother-in-law at home. Its the best shirt, I wear it whenever shes around, suits her to a T. She f&@%ing hates it. Makes it an even better shirt.
Cheers

Nah, the name Mother In Law Fish, was given because of their bland taste which some considered was only suitable for giving to the mother inlaw. They are also called Slatey Bream, or Blackall, or Blubberlip, or Morwong (a Qld name only, nothing like the Morwong of southern waters), and after the recent standardised renaming of some fish they now go under the name of Painted Sweetlip. But dont be fooled if you see that name in any seafood cabinet, they taste no where near as nice as other sweetlips. Scientific name is Diagramma pictum.
