Freshwater, Estuary or Ocean?

I fish in freshwater, saltwater and estuaries but I mainly fish in freshwater.

Mostly ocean for me because of the boat, but just bought a new bream rod, so I'll be hitting the rivers and flats (estuaries) over here. There's been quiet a few 40cm brimskis caught , so, as Layton would say bring it on!

i do estuary the most. i get scared of the big waves of the ocean fishing.

my comment on ocean fishing is that this is QLD dominated forum whereas off the coast of victoria i imagine it is too rough and has no reef to stop the big waves.

qld is a state more designed for ocean fishing with warmer waters, protected waters, more reef,etc.

mostly in the river but starting alot more outside fishing and i prefere outside alot more! cant wait till i get a rig to go outside, gotta love the snapper on plastics!

I like all three....and you can throw in fly fishing as a style as well....in both fresh and salt

living 2 minutes from Moreton Bay id have to say estuary but the ocean is a short hop thru the bar..... never did much freshwater but may change that soon too..grandson is having fun at reddy bay...

I love smooth estuary water...

I may try to conquor the deep blue one day but for now...go the mangroves!!!!

the rough aussie coastline for me, although sometimes i fish the estuaries when the weather is really crappy.

I thought i replied on this thread ages ago? but alwell. i only fish estuaries and freshwater, i went estuary cause that where i do most of my fishing, but nothing like hanging round a lake with a fire having a good ol chat about everything.
