Many years ago there used to be a patch of rubbly reef towards the middle of bamble bay but the last half a dozen times i have either tried to find it or drifted over it it seems to have silted over. I think we need another 1974 incident to clear the bottoms again.
Depending on what you are targetting there is also the Wells near the Clontarf end of the Haughton Highway Bridge.
Failing that Woody Point would be the next closest known reef.
