Simon i have seen you guys on the water several times now and finally you are rewarded for your efforts.Congratulations on the snapper you did well to boat such a great speciemen on the light gear.Must be good quality those TT hooks!!!You equal my best snapper caught in the bay on a plastic.Mine must have been overweight because it went 80cms and 6.2 kilo.Mate you caught it 2 weeks early. That would be a great fish for the River to Mud on a plastic.Cheers Brent

You know, I thought it would have been in the 6 kg range, my brother got an 80cm fish from Harries last year that went over 6kg, but when I had another look at those pics, the body on his fish was a lot thicker. But hey I'm not complaining with my 5.77kg! Still grinning! I'm sure there's one this size swimming around for a lucky angler in the RtoM. Good luck guys!

Also, thanks to Brian(Scalem) for his help with the animated avatar, cheers mate.

Good feeling when you can lift its head and its running faster than the boat. Mine was 8 weeks ago and i am missing that fight and hoping for another like yours. Mine was 82cm but yours is the same size on our 4000 spinners. Good fish. Well i bet you were shaking before you put min in the net (i was by myself and shaking like a leaf and had to sit down for a minute before netting him cause of shock)

True, main line is 15lb fins, so a bit more than the 12lb leader. I also forgot to mention that it was a midday capture.

Yeah gives you the shakes alright , especially just before the netting, is it going to power off again?
