Hey LittleToe,
Many thanks for your open'ness and advice, I appreciate this.
Hard earned fishing posts and techniques are just that, hard earned.
My Son and I normally fish for Whiting up at Woody Point and I was hoping to introduce him to some little larger fish over this school holidays.
It seems each time I use squid I get a stingray so he always asks; "Dad but no squid today - right !!!"
I'll let you now how we go.
Many thanks and regards,
Rob

Hi Rob,
Just to clarify. I meant squid that comes in 2kg packs from tackle warehouse (at least that's where I buy it), and not that vacuum packed smallish stuff. I don't use that at all. This squid has a very nice juicy flash and seems to go well for me, and stays on the hooks longer than that other, soft, funny coloured stuff.
Does anyone know the name of these 2kg packs? I can't remember, but it's a blue box with calamari written on it.
Cheerio.
