Tweed Coast offshore fishing spots?

G'day all,

I am new to the area and I am looking for some info on some offshore fishing spots in the area. I am not looking for your secret gps marks, just a point in the right direction to some decent fishing! At the moment I don't have a clue.

Not too many secret spots off Tweed these days mate . Look for the boats on the weekend . Fido's , Nine Mile and the north and south broken reef running eastwards between these two , South reef area and Wommin are all in close . Wider there is the 24 , 36 and 50 fathom reefs . All these fish OK from time to time but the close in areas especially need local knowledge to know when and where to fish at different times of the year . I am still learning after lots of years . Wider reefs are the usual rules .

My advice is to get a Sunmap offshore fishing map of the Goldy and one of the GPS co-ordinates books and start there and look around for ground . Tell me how far offshore you want to go and I will see if I have a couple of starter marks . No such thing as guaranteed good spots these days .
