    S.E.Q Fishing Charter Reccomendations?

    G'day All,

The big boss has been kind enough to offer to take the 8 of us out on a fishing charter round the end of July.
He is wanting to get hold of some BIG fish after seeing doug burt pull in some trevalla few weeks back on the telly with electric operated reels .
Wondering if any of you lot could reccomend a charter to get the 8 of us onto some monsters, Money is not a limit here.

    thanks

try tomcat charters, not a bad trip, if you want to go further north to rainbow try keely rose charters, great trip and great stable rig, only takes 10 max where as tomcat takes up to 16, a little cramped. cheers lethal

Are you specifically after the deep water fish like the Trevellas, Bar Cod etc FISHAWN?

Most offshore Charters go out in 40 to 100 metres depending on where you are and commonly target Snapper, Pearl Perch, Reef Fish and Amberjack etc. To get the Trevalla etc requires more specialised gear and deeper water 140 metres plus. Only a few Charter Operators are actually set up for the deeper fishing. I think Seaprobe on the Goldie is one that does go out deeper if you want.

    Cheers

If your after a coorporate day out chasing the deep water fish like you saw on IFISH. Give us a call at Phantom Charters. We specialise in corporate days and that was us that took out Doug and Paul on the show.

Phantom Charters 3283 4888 ask for Daniel or Ian www.thephantom.com.au

The boat is in Scarborough/Redclliffe at the moment and will be heading North to the reef in the first week of Augaust for the season up there.

I would highly recommend fishncrab at Mooloolaba. I took ten of us out the other day. They were just fantastic. Could not be more pleased. We got a great feed of fish and a great feed of beautifully cooked crab! These guys really look after you.

if you want the deep water fish and money isnt an issue give Dan or Ian a call and go on the phantom....you wont be disapointed. Even if the fishing is slow its an awesome boat to sit back and have a few beers with ya mates. Out that way at this time of year you could also incorporate some trolling into your day with a good chance of getting a blue or striped marlin or big yellowfin tuna.
