$350 for Moreton Is trip !!!

Just booked my annual surf fishing trip to Moreton for me, my father and a mate. Barge fare and vehicle access fee - $270 , Camping fees for six nights - $81 , spending a week with my dad (78 years young) pulling dart, tailor, whiting and bream - PRICELESS !!!!!!!! .

We'll be sitting around the fire reminiscing about trips there for 23 years now.

Can't wait to get there.

P.S. We'll be in a dual cab Hilux arriving 13 July so come say G'day if you're over there.

Any reports from the beaches ???

23 years,thats a great effort, we will be leaving to go over there on the 11th coming back on the 13th,hope to catch some nice tailor like we did last yr there.

Sounds like it is getting expensive to get over there nowdays though

Lucky you are not taking a trailer - add another $190 for that!

I was over there from a couple of weeks back but did bugger all fishing (two younguns to take care of). I spoke to an old guy who had been there 5 or 6 days and who goes there many times a year and he said pickings were a bit slim. He'd only caught 2 or 3 tailor and a handful of good dart.

But the fishing can change overnight. You'd have to expect to get a few good sessions if you are there a full week.
