large?? how large?, there is heaps of Aluminium Cats that are quite big, and a thousand 23' Sharkcats, let us know how large you are talking, remember you will be restricted by the Beam as well.

it depends on what you are classifying as large and how far you need to tow. The perfect combination between large and towing would have to be the 20-21 footers like my 660 Noosacat. as you can still tow with a Lanscruiser/Patrol. the 23 really if you want to tow long distances an F250 is needed.

oh did i mention mine is for sale ?
pm me if you would like some more details

    cheer's

hoping to tow with cruiser/patrol am willing to build ally trailer to keep a little weight down.Only have to travel around five km to ramp.Currently trying to work out the weight for a 2700 extended cab noosa cat. not a big fan of ally for cats. I may have to bite the bullet and buy a cheap f truck (if possible)

If I was after a large trailable cat id be getting a 7m coastalcat built. There shithot and a BIG 7m cat. Run sweet on twin 115's even. They dont weigh anywhere near as much as the noosa etc but I love the big noosa's. All depends on your budget I guess. Let us know your progress.

i didn't realise the Noosacat 23 footer was still that heavy, i suppose the extended cab adds a bit. I have a new Noosacat tri-axle trailer under mine although its the 20 foot version, i have not had mine over a weighbridge but i doubt fully loaded it would be even 3t.

Gee I wonder what the top speed of the defender would be with that behind- that is alot of wind. At least the trailer would have good brakes a sthe defenders dont

    OMG..........................

how the hell do you pull that thing with a 4wd? and a landrover at that!

you would either want to live damn close to the ramp or its gotta be flat all the way to the ramp!

Is this the boat that was initially set up wrong by sailfish, which they corrected by shifting the location of the fuel tanks?

It is a far, far better thing to have fished and lost, than never to have fished at all.
