    Just wanted to know what is the best way to look after cork grips and how do I clean them?

    i just give them a wash with warm soapy water and a towel dry and stand them in my rod rack, haven't had any troubles

    Nappysan will clean them.
    On any new rod I rub the cork over with a candle. Then go over it with a hair drier.
    Its a personal thing, Some folk like em dirty and smelly.

    A course rag with metho brings them up like brand new.

    I got a rag and soaked it with a little bit of methylated spirits and gave the cork grip gentle rubs. The cork is much cleaner than what it originally was but it still has a few light darkish stains on it.

    when ive brought any cork grip rod before use I rub surfboard wax on and melt with lighter. Thus pretects them from roaches and also water proofs them.

    The wax gives added grip for casting.
