    Cool CQ Snapper

caught my first snapper today, man they fight hard. this one weighed in at 13.5lbs ... not bad for a place that isn't known for their snapper like Moreton bay. and i know the guys down there would be jealous of a fish of this size.

we had some of the fish for dinner and i must admit i think i now have a new "best tasting" fish on my leaderboard, i can see why you southerners rate these so highly.

Scary things to fillet, I was unaware that their scales are like razorblades and almost sliced my thumb when filliting the fish.

needless to say i'm preety stoked.

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

    Good capture Jase

It is a shame you can't keep just 1 because barramundi cod are hands down the best eating fish

the trouble is there are so few of them left and they mate for life so they are easily fished out in an area
