Potts Point, north end of McCleay (misspelled?) Island. I've fished there several times last Winter, and caught zip!
Good luck,
Tim
Carbon Really Ain't Pollution.
Map 82 of the Beacon to Beacon - I fish there regularly - it is very hit or miss I find.....I have caught snapper, flathead, bream, sweetlip, grinners : quite a mixed bag....seems to be a popular spot amongst anglers though and there is always a few boats there......I try a bit further around towards the east where the pier is....
Its a good spot for mackerel, july /august is the best time...jim
You're pretty much on the button!

G'day
Kind of, the reef is a lot closer than that, anywhere from the western side (think there's a red beacon off of there) around to the jetty to the east.
Sound around, you'll figure it out. But a lot closer to the island than your thumb tack
