who has aniseed marinated bait recipes

I use strips of chicken fillet or squid marinated in tuna or pilchard oil with a couple of cap fulls of aniseed and let it marinate in a sealed glass bottle for a couple of days. Bream/whiting/flathead love it but if it spills on the carpet in your boat the smell will tempt you to burn the boat.

U can buy aniseed oil in some tackle shops. I bought a tiny bottle in Armidale in NSW. Its expensive stuff and cant say it has improved my fishing but it must work as squigie slick rigs have a aniseed smell to them. I might hav to squirt abit on my lures abit more often and see wht happens.
