I am currently looking for a trailer to carry a 17ft fiberglass Seafarer and was wondering if people had a particular choice in trailers and for what reasons.
I would like to drive on/drive off and be able to do this on my own. Also i want a trailer that is going to last a long time too.
Thanks Runamuck!

IF IT CAN'T EAT A WHOLE PILLY I DON'T WANT IT
mate i got a BMT package from Galeforce boats I didn't think the price was too bad seeing the quality of the trailer I forget what the trailer price was. contact dunbier themselves to find a dealer in your area . you won't regret it

depends on what your price range is an aluminium trailer would be the go for lasting ages.

I am looking at a Dunbier or a Belco at this stage...who make aluminium trailers???
There is a distributor for an alloy brand of trailer in Melb. I can also advise you that a major marine dealer in Melb purchased one for a customer and it started to fall apart inside of 3 yrs. The distributor wants nothing to do with it and as such the marine delaer will not sell another trailer of that brand.
This info was expressed to me first hand from the person who makes important decisions within that business....
runamuck,
i got a belco about 8-9 months ago (4.4mtr flat bottom boat) tested it good i sunk the lights a few times & yeah they are waterproof, cant fault it its a pretty good trailer. priced good too, they are made in brisse.whatever trailer u get make sure u spray some rust stuff on it i used valoline 505.
