Hey Guys,

I can understand both sides of peoples opinions some saying that you need proof to back things up and people also argueing to give the bloke a chance, he may well have caught a monsterous flathead. I agree with "straddy77", there have been several threads in the saltwater pics asking for the 90+ cm flatheads and there have been plenty of storys but not many photos .

IMO i will give you the benefit of the doubt and say congratttz but i wont be entirely convinced unless i see a photo.

good catch mate , those slugs work on lots of different fish depending on how you use them and i think you can get flathead on any type of lure . Good to see some big flathead around the area i have not seen any real big ones for a while .

Congrats on the fish mate. Disappointing on the lack of photo but as you said, the welfare of the fish is paramount, particularly with a big breeder like that.

Geeze a flatty that size would have been fishin for tailor as well until you hooked him out of his fishin hole. Well done PS.Dont ever fish without your camera or have a phone camera like i do so i will never miss out.

If i had a head like yours i would'nt make a habit of carrying a camera either.Nice lizard mate.

And for the sceptics,sure you cant believe everything you read but ill vouch for this, if he says he caught it he caught it.He sure puts in the time and effort and definatley knows his stuff.prolly better to milk infomation out of him rather than stur him up.

Boys, I don't know if this is 4 real, but I've snorkelled (spear fishing) along there and there are some monster flathead along there.

hey guys,
i been fishing with this bloke, and seen some of his photos, and i think he has better things to do than bullsh*t about a flathead over a metre when he could post better fish cos he has a photo.
how many times have you been fishing got a fish and had no camera, i've done it twice this year alone, at noosa big diamond trevally, went 75, was my first and only one, and one of a handful of times i havent taken camera, month or two later, got a jack, no camera, lucky we kept him alive got him back to camp for a photo before release back up river (he was legal)
so now i take my camera everywhere, even if its down the beach for whiting, cos ya never know
