I was switching between a TT Switchblade and an Atomic Prong 3" Shrimp with light weight and Tom was using a TT switchblade and 3" Power Minnow in Pearl watermelon also with light weight. We were retrieving the lures with a lift on the rod and flicking and winding then let it sink and do it again.

Its really not giving me any hope to want to continue with the lures as i am catching so many with bait and none with lures. What to people think, stay with bait, go to lures and work harder?????,........(Ill always bait fish with my dad as he is never going to change over unless i get like 50Legals on plastics/HB's in one session)

    Cheers
Sounds like you are doing everything right Dylan, the Bream are thick at the moment but their feeding patterns are very erratic, probably due to them spawning and generally getting it on with Mrs. Bream .. it's afterwards they really go on the chew as do most of us (or fall asleep) and I found the bite shuts down after an hour or so of Carnage. Congats on the 40 .. very nice fish. Don't give up the light gear & lures ... much more rewarding in my opinion.
