Hey johnny nice boat!did ya get it here in Cairns?$23000 that's a good price.
Did you make it up to the dam today if so how did she go?
hey Greg,
i see that you have your anchor hanging on the bow spirit. how does thing work? surely the anchor just doesnt hang down while going from fishing hole to fishing hole. it would bang into the hull wouldnt it? i tried it today for the first time, and had to wrap the chain around the cleat once i got it up. couldnt quite figure it out. the paint work around the cleat is not going to last long at this rate!

Well done on the purchase mate. I too have a Stacer and am very happy with it!
gday dan,
yeah made it to the lake today...eventually. had to do the BMX thing with the boy, then we made it to the lake around lunchtime for a few hours.
and hey...she handle beutifully! but the wind does play a bit of havoc in the handling, but apart from that...bloody brilliant! sure as hell beats the $%^&* out of me old tinnie.

Congratulations, johnny.
I used to curse everytime a sinker, etc took a chip out of the paintwork but I'm over that now.
I've put bicycle tubing over my chain and so when I wrap it over the cleat it doesn't affect the paintwork but you need to take it off periodically to clean it. I tend to stick the chain and anchor in a garbage bin of fresh water after every trip. I only wrap the chain around the cleat when I get near to my fishing spot to lower it quietly. I'd hate to have the anchor drop when I'm at full speed.
Here's to you and your family's days out.
Cheers

Well done mate. I hope you and your family have many good memories in the new toy!
johnny.
i do same as castlemaine. go buy urself a bike tube. also softens the noise when lowering into water.
i pull it up tight into the bowspit and when wrap around cleat it wont go anywhere. leave it all day. beats pulling into boat each time.
cheers
greg
thanks castlemaine, that was a great tip as i did exactly that...wrapped the chain around the cleat. but thankfully it hasn't taken any paint off. i will definately go and get some bycicle tube.
John
A strangely familar looking boat.... Mine takes 6, and we can take the two family thing without any effect on the stability, but it does have nice matching white 115 on the back
Stacer 525 easyrider - 115 DI. Bayside Brissy
Trimming is still an experiment. Flys at 45knts, but no fun once its over 0.7

Johnny,
Looks like it should entertain the kids for a while
